Awards Evening and end of year

The end of the School year is almost upon us and our wonderful year 8's will be off to College, we wish them all luck. We hope everyone has a nice holiday and Christmas and the teachers I'm sure will be looking forward to their new classes. Of course, there will be a new Senior Council next year, good luck to those year 8's running and make sure that if you are voting you vote for a true school leader and someone that can manage the entire workload!

The Year 8 Awards evening is on Tuesday the 15th of December and tickets are available from the office, year 8's are free and Adults are $5.00. Year 8's must be accompanied by an adult to ensure they get home safe. Please no siblings. Remember to dress formally!

Ambulance Day

Thanks for supporting Wellington Free Ambulance by participating in Ambulance Day!
We raised a total of $257.00! The winners received a certificate and a free Chocolate or Blue Moon Moosie for their awesome effort!

Thanks to everyone who brought in a donation and/or dressed up, we couldn't do anything without you!

Reminder that there is no Juicies or Moosies selling this week or next. This week the Seniors are off to Waikanae Pools and next Wednesday school finishes at 12:30pm! Thanks for everyone who bought any this year, the proceeds paid off Camp and pays for the Year 8 Awards Evening.

Paremata's Got Talent finals

Last Saturday October 18th we had the finalists of Paremata's got Talent perform at the Gala. We had two lovely guest judges judge for us, including one of Paremata School's former Senior Councillors and Dal from the TV show 'My Kitchen rules NZ.'

We have our winners and congratulate all of the participants on their effort and hard work.
Thanks to all of our teacher judges that helped and to all of the performers.

We are currently trying to organise a fun event that will take place in week 5 ish, so stay tuned.

Paremata's Got talent

Senior Disco!

Saturday was Senior Disco and we'd just like to say that it was awesome!
Of course, not everybody came, but the turnout was still good! We think maybe 80 out of 105???
The night was great, everyone had a sweet time, we had limbo, a HUGE conga line, dance comps, and heaps of food! Thanks to everyone that came!
We are currently working on Pajama day and the ever-so-popular Paremata's Got Talent!

Multicoloured mayhem day winners!

Hey everyone!

Friday 20th (last) was the presentation of the Multicoloured mayhem day winners!
The best dressed from each syndicate received a moosie and juicie voucher each and the overall winner also got a bag of skittles!

COOKIES!

Hey everyone (again!)

Just a quick notice that we are now selling Choc Chip Cookies as well as Juicies and Moosies every Wednesday! They will be selling for a dollar each.
This is simply a trial run, we will sell them for this week and maybe next week, and see if you like them, and then decide on what to do after that.

Multicoloured Mayhem Day!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for checking into the Senior Council blog!

Wednesday 28th of May (last month) was our annual Multicoloured Mayhem Day! Together we raised $351 for Autism NZ!
We had a massive evewnt in the hall with facepainting, a photobooth, a dance floor with groovy music and a massive mucial statues game!
The winners for this event will be presented with a prize at assembly this Friday (20th June) as well as our musical statues winner!

We are currently working really hard for events that are happening next term, look out on Whats On Top for upcoming events.

Purple Day!

Wednesday 26th March - Purple Day!

We are so exited to be raising awareness for students with Epilepsy in our school, so we've thought up some cool ideas involving PURPLE!

Everyone dress up in Purple everything! From purple shoes to purple hats to purple mostaches! (although we will be giving these out)

We can't wait!

2014 Senior Council!

Today we did our first selling of Moosies and Juicies! It was a good turnout considering the weather was not in our favour and it was our first 'event' together as a council.

Thanks to all of our buyers and everyone who helped. 

Juicies and Moosies are confirmed to sell every Wednesday this term (apart from when we are on camp and when there is some other reason) for $1 (Juicies) and $1.50 (Moosies)
